Lavito rules

Lavito is a free classifieds board for expats who live in Vietnam or stay here for a long time. We don't take part in deals, charge fees or hold money: sellers and buyers agree directly.

Allowed

• Selling your own things — used or new — or giving them away for free.
• Renting out housing, offering services and jobs.
• Pricing in dong, dollars or roubles.

Not allowed

• Goods and services banned by Vietnamese law: drugs and anything for them, weapons and ammunition (including non-lethal and air guns), explosives, knuckle-dusters.
• E-cigarettes, vapes, heated tobacco devices (IQOS etc.) and their liquids — banned in Vietnam since 2025.
• Brand counterfeits: “copies”, “luxury replicas”, “AAA quality”.
• Prescription and “no prescription needed” medicines, potent drugs.
• Sexual services, escorts, “massage with extras”, pornography.
• Forged or someone else's documents: licences, diplomas, certificates, passports; bank cards and accounts, money mules, cash-out schemes.
• Currency and crypto exchange or sale, “make money online”, pyramid schemes, casinos and betting.
• Rare and protected animals and products made from them (ivory, rhino horn, turtle shells).
• Hacked accounts, pirated software and games, shared subscriptions.
• “Well-paid jobs abroad, no experience needed” — this is how people are recruited into scam call centres.
• Listings with someone else's photos or a deliberately false price or description.
• Duplicate listings, spam and advertising: links to websites and channels, promo codes, “DM me”.
• Insults and threats in messages.
• Phone numbers, usernames, emails, messenger and social media links, card and wallet numbers — in listings, chats, names and “about me”. All communication happens in the site chat.
• Your profile name should be a person's name — not a shop name, and not “Moderator” or “Support”.

Anti-spam limits

• There's a pause between listings: one minute, or 5 minutes for new accounts (first 3 days).
• Up to 20 listings a day, or up to 5 for new accounts. New accounts can start up to 5 new chats per hour.
• The same long message to many sellers at once won't be sent — write to each one in your own words.

Moderation

Before publication, every new or edited listing — text and photos — is checked by an automated system, usually within a few seconds. If something is wrong, you'll see what to fix; borderline listings are reviewed by a moderator, usually within a day. You can disagree with a rejection — use the “Disagree with the decision?” button on the listing page.

Texts — listing titles and descriptions, messages, reviews, names and “about me” — are checked on sending for offensive language, contact details, links, ads and prohibited items; photos are checked for copies of other people's pictures. If something is wrong, you'll see right away what to fix. Everything else is checked by moderators when it's reported. You can report a listing, a user or a review straight from their page; in a chat, the report button is below the message box. You can block any user — they won't be able to message you, and their listings will disappear from your feed.

We usually handle reports within a day. A listing that breaks the rules is blocked; repeated violations get the whole account blocked.

Zero tolerance: fraud, insults, threats, content involving minors and prohibited items are not allowed on Lavito. We remove such content immediately and block the account.

Personal data

In short: your email is used to log in and for notifications, users communicate only through the site chat, and location tags are stripped from photos. Details are on the privacy page.
