Safe deals

Almost all deals on Lavito happen in person. A few rules will keep you out of trouble.

For buyers

Never send prepayments to strangers — not “to reserve” and not “for delivery”. Pay when you meet and have the item in your hands.
Meet in a public place: a café, a shopping mall, a hotel lobby.
Test electronics on the spot: switch them on, charge them, check a phone's IMEI and iCloud status.
Motorbikes: check the frame and engine numbers against the blue card (cà vẹt). Without it the bike can't be re-registered later.
Housing: don't pay a deposit until you've seen the place in person or on a video call with the owner. Get a contract that states the deposit amount and how it is returned.

Never share SMS codes or card details — “buyers” who want to “send money via a link” are almost always scammers.
For bank transfers, wait for the money to arrive, not for a screenshot.
Don't hand over or ship the item until you've been paid.
